A Volunteer with a Heart of "Gold"
At Working Wardrobes, we are blessed to have some of the most generous, hard-working, and committed volunteers possible, and we are extremely grateful for their support.
Tia Golden is one of these invaluable volunteers.
For the past three and a half years, Tia has lovingly donated her time and skills to the men, women, young adults, and Veterans we serve. After attending a Working Wardrobes Smart Women event, she felt compelled to help – and help our clients she does!
Tia parlayed her experience as a designer and owner of a graphic design firm to volunteer as a personal shopper with our organization. In addition to volunteering at our Career Center to help people look and feel their best, she has also lent her support at a number of Working Wardrobes events.
Tia uses her eye for design and her remarkable fashion sense to select elegant styles that help clients nail their job interviews.
She said she loves selecting colors that complement skin tones as well as choosing accessories to complete each look. Her favorite look for a man is a dignified grey suit with a crisp blue or white dress shirt to finish off the look.
Beyond the joy she gets from using her design skills to create sharp looks for our clients, Tia says the rewards of volunteering are what motivate her each day.
“I’m reminded how much I enjoy the work I do here when I see the smiling faces of clients who generally have little to no belongings,” said Tia. “Helping others is my calling and I am so grateful to be a part of the Working Wardrobes team.”
Tia, we’re also very grateful that you’re a part of our team. Thank you for dressing our clients in style to help them realize the Power of a Paycheck. We appreciate you!
