Men and Women on the Road to Success
On May 20th, we held our annual Men’s and Women’s Career Success Event where we served nearly 100 deserving men and women on their road to a job and the Power of a Paycheck. What an incredible day!
Numerous volunteers generously converged at Los Amigos High School, where Working Wardrobes clients experienced a life-changing day filled with services designed to assist them with finding employment so that they can become self-sufficient and establish productive lives.
Clients participated in a very important career panel with ZIPS Dry Cleaners, Hilton Irvine, Dunkin Donuts, Wells Fargo, and Neo Genomics.
They also received grooming services and business wardrobe selection with the help of professional shoppers, and many participated in a powerful fashion show finale!
US Bank was our presenting sponsor for the day’s events and generous corporate donors stepped up too, including FedEx, Olive Garden, Starbucks, Macy's, Men's Wearhouse, National Charity League, Inc., Republic Services, Marie Crosson, Einstein Bros Bagels, Bombas, Drybar, Lois Kinsey, AIMT, and Paul Mitchell School.
A team of wonderful volunteers from K&L Gates Law Firm helped us get packed and ready to head to Los Amigos High School on Friday before the event, which was no small feat!
Event photographers Bonnie Merrick and Kyle Nakamura were on-hand to capture special moments throughout the day – and there were many. Please see the photo album below.
To the volunteers, sponsors, and donors who made this day so successful, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support is so vital to helping us serve even more clients in need on their journey to meaningful employment and a better life.
